Dr Oladimeji Adebayo

Dr Oladimeji Adebayo is a Senior Registrar(Cardiology) in the Department of Medicine
University College Hospital, Ibadan. He is passionate about unravelling insight into research issues. He had his degree in Medicine & Surgery at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He also has a Masters in Health Planning & Management and has completed a Master of science in Medicine in addition to a Postgraduate Diploma in Preventive Cardiovascular Medicine.

He is also an alumnus of Leadership and Management in Health and Global Health Project Management courses at the University of Washington. He is a fellow of the International Society of Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention(ISCEP) Fellow 2018(, H3 Africa Fellow Consortium meeting September 2018, and Merck Scholar 2020/2021 cohort. He was a past General Secretary, Association of Resident Doctors, UCH, 2016/17 executive year.

He is the pioneer Chairman, Research & Statistics Committee, Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors(NARD(2018-till date). He was appointed to lead the new committee in 2018, and the committee engineered the first and national trainee lead Research Collaboration Network( among Early Career Doctors in Nigeria. The group, since its inception, have executed two large scale national studies on early-career doctors; CHARTING I & II study, in addition to a national study on the evaluation of the level of implementation of compulsory treatment and care for a victim of gunshot act, 2017 among health workers and police in Nigeria. He is an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He is on the editorial boards of refereed journals such as Annals of Ibadan Postgraduate Medicine, indexed on PubMed and AJOL(Board Secretary/Editor; 2016- till date), and Nigerian Journal of Medicine(Associate Editor;2019-till date).
